I am a Certified Massage Therapist. Over the years I have practiced in spas, wellness centers, Chiropractic offices and in private practice. Aside from Craniosacral, Reiki, Tibetan KuNye and Reflexology, I have trained in many different types of massage, including Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Swedish, Shiatsu, Tuina, Sports, Hot Stone and Acupressure. At this junction in my career, I have chosen to focus on four modalities I feel most passionate about: Craniosacral, Tibetan KuNye, Reiki, and Reflexology. I have found these techniques on their own, as well as in combination, to be the most healing and therapeutic. I myself have personally experienced amazing results from each of these techniques.
I look forward to connecting with you on your journey to greater wellness.
journey from art to healing artsIn the 1980’s, I attended Art School in New York City. I love the arts, and at the same time, I have always been drawn to studying massage therapy.
In 2002, I went to massage school at the National Holistic Institute. After completing the school's required 720 hours of training, I was jazzed and ready to use my new skills, but I also felt that I had just barely touched the basics. Over the years, with hands on experience, I learned how to feel the ways in which the body communicates, holding patterns, restrictions, emotions, and trauma, all palpable through the refinement of attuning to the body.
In addition to traditional massage training, I have trained in Craniosacral Therapy with Upledger as well as Body Intelligence, Biodynamic Craniosacral and also Visceral Manipulation with the Jean Pierre Barrel Institute, both internationally accredited.
My style is informed by these schools, but also very much my own.
On a personal note, I also enjoy photography, travel, meditation, writing , poetry, dance and all forms of art.
