I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from San Francisco State University. I am also a graduate of the Women’s Therapy Center Clinical Program in Berkeley.
As an African American Woman, born and raised in New York City I am particularly sensitive to the impact of racial and cultural bias and discrimination experienced by people of color. And know that insidious and veiled prejudice and discrimination can have a deeply traumatic effect on one’s emotional and physical health. I hold a caring and supportive space for clients to be heard, and to heal.
I have worked therapeutically with individuals, couples, and families in many different capacities for more than 25 years. My client population has been diverse, non-traditional and varied. I am particularly interested in working with couples, and traditional and blended family groups. I have counseled couples through fertility issues and adoptions.
I use an integrative approach, pulling from different theories and modalities to assist my clients to accomplish their goals. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and supportive space to allow for rest, exploration and healing in order for my clients to fully develop their spiritual and relational potential.
