As a non-pathologizing humanistic-existential Gestalt therapist, I will meet you exactly where you are. I recognize that you are the expert of your own experience and that you already possess the ability and skills that will aid you in healing your pain and suffering. As your empathic witness, advocate, and guide, I will help you increase your self-awareness, self-acceptance, and sense of agency through mindful observation, personal exploration, and collaborative experimentation. Essentially, I will help you re-examine your life and re-experience yourself and others, in different as well as new meaningful and healing ways. In session with you, I deeply value curiosity, humility, authenticity, spaciousness, aliveness, creativity, difference, and inclusion. My approach is mindful, intuitive, and tenderhearted.
Having an anxious tormented father and a self-sacrificing preoccupied mother molded me into a compassionate wounded healer at a very young age. Since I have had the privilege of living in five different countries around the world, have worked in four, and visited twenty others, my nomadic lifestyle has helped me cultivate a multicultural, introspective, adaptive, open curious mind. I am influenced and impassioned by intersectional feminist, queer, multicultural, liberation and transformative justice theory and principles. As an integral holistic therapist, I allow my varied life experiences, as well as my keen interest in other modalities, to inform my work. As a result, I offer each of my clients a personalized approach that is specifically tailored to fit their unique wants and needs.
I am a body-positive, fat-positive, sex-positive, and queer, kink, and poly affirming therapist who is especially drawn to working with people who identify as queer, alternative, different, weird, and/or rebellious. If you think that we would be a good fit for one another, get in contact with me through any of the methods found above so that we can begin this transformative journey together.
I speak conversational Spanish and Tagalog and see individuals, couples & familial dyads, groups, and children.
